    My Favorite Plants My favorite plant that bloomed for this year was my lemon tree. It smelled wonderful. Although it didn't produce fruit this year I'm hoping for a better year next season.
    Plants Currently in My Garden I have a greenhouse, so there are countless in there. My main goal for here is to learn about different veggies that I can produce throughout all the seasons.
    I love to garden, because.... I love to see what I've helpped grow.
    Biggest Gardening Challenge Banana Plant! Humidity, and cold in winter.
    If I'm not gardening, I can be found: with my wonderful family.

Hello everyone,

I have had my banana plant for about a year now. It is so wonderful! I just love it. I have an issue though. For some reason I believe due to the temperature change in the season (zone 6). I brought my plants inside, Mr. Banana really must have loved it out there because he's now turning a horrible brown. Does anyone think he would be alright in a greenhouse that is a cold greenhouse (no heat in winter)?

Do you happen to have a plant label or name for the banana? A large number of tropical bananas are root hardy into warmer zone 7, so if you don't overwater it and your cold greenhouse doesn't get bone-chilling cold for weeks on end, it'll survive the winter dormancy just fine.
