I see a number of you have already signed up since the "hot spot" for North and South Carolinians has a home here!
To start the juices flowing, anyone wish to blog on what's their favorite aspect of June in the garden or in their neck of the Carolinas (whether coast, plain, Piedmont, foothills or mountains)?
Everyone loves a pic, so I'll start by saying that I've a stupid habit of calling any large, impressive southern magnolia tree a "monster magnolia". And, a few days ago I did see a monster magnolia in flower, with about 30-40 flower on it across its 30' height and 20' width.
This wasn't the tree, but a pic I recently took of a little worker honeybee nosing around for some nectar and pollen in a southern magnolia.
