One of my  goals this year is to expand my edible garden -- and this year I'm just dying to get a fig tree. I was at a restaurant last summer, and the garden must have had 4 or 5 figs trees -- just beautiful. I've never grown a fruit tree before, so it should be interesting -- and I'm really hoping the kids will get into the idea of trying something new off the tree ... now I just have to find a fig tree in chicago this spring ...
