I want to thank everyone who has sent me comments and mail.  Your advice has been wonderful.  I am working with my soil and using local plants to enhance my garden.  I want to work with my garden, not against mother nature!  I have also started a compost pile this year and am having great fun with the process.  I can't wait to amend any soil that needs a little boost... or rather a plant that could use the boost.  I have found several plants that continue to bloom and thrive thru the fall and can't wait to get a few more next year...  as money flow improves ( I hope ).  I am taking baby steps... so my photos will be few for a while...  As my brown thumb turns greener I hope that will change.  Hope everyone continues to have a wonderful time in their gardens!!
