Stay out of the sun when you get hot because if you have a "heatstroke, heat exhuastion" etc, your body thermometer will break easily and you will never be able to tolerate the heat again. !!!!!! I am only posting this as a HUGE warning because I have done this and my body now tries to adjust to whatever temperature I am in. So ........... if it is 100 outside, my body heat will just keep on rising and not cool. And in winter, it tries to cool way too cold. So PLEASE, listen to the heat related illnesses article just released. I have suffered with this since 1994 after my 2nd heat exhaustion ( by mistake while teaching school outside) and if you like to garden, it is a really really NOT FUN issue to have. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure !!!!!!!!!!!!! Wendy in Oregon

Thanks Wendy, This sounds odd, but people that are unable to sweat normally are at greater risk of heat stroke. My grandmother had this problem and always had to take it easy in high heat. The Mayo Clinic has a nice page on the subject: www.mayoclinic.com/health/first-aid-heat... Stay cool! Jessie |
