I am a backyard gardener who just got promoted to planting the front entrance of our development. Any suggestions as to what kind of plantings that do well in a climate of eastern PA would be very helpful. Thank you, Susan Kempton

Newtownsquare,
I suspect that you haven't had much response to this posting because there are so many choices that would work for you in eastern PA, we're all overwhelmed by your question. If you could narrow the focus of your question, that would really help. Do you wish to have colorful, blooming shrubs? Mainly perennials and annuals? Evergreen screening? What size of area are you talking about? Is it sunny or shady? Could you describe the soil that's present - and what about the amount of maintenance that it will receive? If you could give us some more information, I think we can provide some good suggestions for your project. Mark Miller |
