Two houseplant questions. First, I have cut and replanted the side shoots (pups?) from some bromilead plants and they are growing fine for a couple of years now. I know the plant only flowers once but will these spinoffs ever develop the "flower" such as was present on the parent plant? (if not, how do these plants ever devlop plants which do flower?)

Second. I have an aloe plant which is growing well and has developed side plants from the root base (under the ground)Is there a good method to remove and replant these pups as stand-alone" plants?
