I live in the Midwest -- Population: A zillion bunnies. I have a planting bed in my back yard that I'm going to use to grow wildflowers (via SeedBallz) this year, but I fear as the seed germinates, the rabbits are going to treat my little garden as an open buffet. I have some wire netting and am considering bending it into some sort of planting bed cage to protect my little plants from being eaten. Do you think that would work...or does anyone have any other ideas to help block the rabbits from muching on my lil' plants? |

Okay, I'm rethinking this "cage box" thing. ... Now debating just going simple and surrounding the entire bed with the wire netting to make some sort of fence around this particular planting bed. So how tall do you think this screen/fence would have to be to discourge rabbits from jumping over it and feasting on my lil' plants - 1 foot...1 1/2 feet...? (The bed is slightly raised already.) |
