Thanks. The last two photos were taken in northern West Virginia. No, Columbus is not that hilly.

Thanks for info. I have a 35 mm film camera and have been thinking about a digital camera for years but never got quite brave enough to actually buy one. Of course now that our film processing costs twice what it did a year ago, I am thinking more about it. I have a scanner that I use to get pics on line. I use it for copying genealogy documents also.

    Thank you Jamie,
I really wasn't aware that mums had any smell. I have a very weak sense of smell, and any smell has to be pretty pungent in order for me to smell it. Thanks for the reply. B.

You don't see much personal gardening down here; don't know why. There's a town called Catarina that has an economy based on nurseries. It's one of the tourist attractions here. Very beautiful, located on the edge of the Apoyo crater lake (the view is spectacular!).
Plants are incredibly cheap, most running around 10 to 30 cordobas or so (50 cents to $1.50). I could spend all day shopping in Catarina! : )

    Hey jamie,
How are ya? I don't get on this site as much as I planned to when I first filled out my user profile. maybe with more folks to start befriending, I'll think of it more and become somewhat regular. Yup, I live in N.C., a little north of Charlotte. Well, actually I was incorporated into the city last year. Lots more taxes now. As to my crepe myrtles, aint nobody trimming them cept me. I do all that I can reach and if it's way up there like the big pine that needs topping out some dead, well, I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that. I've had a great growing summer. Lots of tomatoes. They're still coming in actually. This is my first year of working this yard and garden because I used to live in uptown Charlotte till last Feb. I lost my Dad back then and moved out here to help my Mother with the house and yard. I am the only single sibling so the job was entrusted to me. I don;t mind though. It's been an adjustment for both of us really. It's had it's disadvantages with the singles and dating game but I wouldn't have it any other way. Where are you located at? Let me know something about yourself, I can always use a new friend.
    later,
