HOWDY! I live in East Texas, Tyler, to be specific-and want to learn about plants native to my area as I am starting a new yard. My yard was shady before we had a major storm and an oak tree hit our house-all 11 1/tons! Long story short, house demolished-yard in shambles-and yard will now be sunny as we have had a MAJOR tree cutting party. New house is almost finished but the yard has a very long way to go. Anyone have any info for what to grow in North East Texas area?

I need all the help I can get and welcome any advice/comments. Thanks!!
